Do you ever wonder what the teachers do when we dismiss at 1:30 on the first Friday of the month? We have so many things that we need to work on, but every month we make time for a teacher to share successful strategies. Today, we heard from Mrs. Sally Chua, who is a kindergarten guru! Kinesthetic learning, finger spelling, incorporation of native language - she taught us a lot today!

Therefore, do not throw away your confidence; it will have great recompense. You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36 Today, our gift for Catholic Schools Week was a scapular. This is a religious item, like a necklace, that is worn to remind the wearer of his/her fidelity to the Lord and the Lord's promise of protection for us. Father JP preached and taught us about having courage - to do things even when they are difficult. And he reminded us the Lord was with the Hebrews in difficult times, and He is also with us. Then, he invited the 8th graders to bestow the gifts upon the students and staff. In this way, too, we are connected to our patroness, St. Therese, whose Carmelite order wears the brown scapular. St. Theresa, pray for us!
