St. Theresa Catholic School was awarded the Heart of the Community Award at the 2025 Innovation in Education Rally, hosted the Arkansas State Office of Innovation for Education! St. Theresa School was one of sixteen schools in the state nominated for the award, based on "being the beating heart of our community - uplifting lives, fostering belonging, and building strong, student-centered connections beyond the classroom."

Pastor Father Stephen Gadberry and Principal Kristy Dunn accepted the award from Kelly Hankins, with the Office of Innovation in Education. Mrs. Dee Yancey, Coach Mo Niehaus, and Mrs. Kristy Dunn attended two days of of the conference, learning from valuable and veteran educators from across the country.

St. Theresa School won the small school category, with a total of 599 votes. Kirksey Middle School in Rogers won the large school category, with over 800 votes.

St. Theresa School prides itself on being mission-driven and family-focused, serving a diverse community in Southwest Little Rock. This award affirms the work we do as well as the work ahead of us, in order to continue to serve our community as Jesus would serve.
